We are nestled in the center of Plum Island, making us the heart of a very special community that we are proud to serve. We have loved being part of the Plum Island community as neighbors, as well as in local restaurant service for the past 20+ years. With our food family, we are so happy to offer RipTide Cafe & Bar as our friendly little beach spot dedicated to offering delicious beach-comfort food, drinks, and fun! Co-Owner/Head Chef
Brad studied Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University and cultivated his talents over the years on Plum Island during his time owning Mad Martha’s and Bob Lobster, as well as creating the first menus for both Metzy’s food truck and cantina. He has built a die-hard following of foodies through his belief that every meal you eat should be delicious.
Andrea
Bar Manager
Andrea is the most cheerful and positive human you will ever meet. She brings smiles and a big heart to the bar everyday. She creates delicious and fun cocktails for anyone 21 or older to enjoy, happily. Additionally, she brings the fun to RipTide by coordinating all our bar events from live music to music bingo and karaoke. Andrea, a life-long artist and jewelry maker,
was a bartender then bar manager for the Beachcoma where she got to know and love the locals and they love her too!
We are so happy to have her as an important part of our RipTide Crew.
Kim Soo
Co-Owner
Kim-Soo’s love of fabulous food adventures and great restaurants inspired her creation of the delightful and welcoming space that is RipTide Cafe & Bar. In bringing her vision to life, she curated a talented group of local artists, staff and vendors to ensure that your experience is delectably memorable! Kim-Soo may or may not have been the voice in Chef Brad’s ear behind some of his tallest culinary creations.
Her massive heart and dedication to RipTide and our food family make Kim-Soo our Most Beloved Fearless Leader.
Leslie
General Manager
Leslie brings talent and expertise to all areas of RipTide Cafe & Bar. She knows the restaurant ins and outs from working in them her entire career. She is best known for her work as manager of David’s Tavern and Owner/Chef of Rhythm Cafe. Her love of food is only matched by her love of the people she encounters each day, and we all love her back! We have worked with Leslie for the past 10 years and she has become our lifelong friend and part of our family. She is the perfect person to bring our crew together to create a friendly, family-like experience at RipTide Cafe & Bar for everyone!
Alicia
Sous Chef
Alicia has been delighting palates, throughout the Merrimack Valley for years. She has always been drawn to the kitchen and has worked in different local restaurants, but is best known for her contributions to David’s Tavern in Newburyport and Rhythm Cafe in Merrimac. She has an intensive knowledge of, and love for all things food. When she is not cooking she can be found rescuing dogs or going to Tiki parties. Chef Alicia was raised by wolves.
